Trump Administration may end temporary protected status for Somalis

Refugee Resettlement Watch

Frankly, I don’t know why they still have TPS for Somalis when we have admitted over 100,000 Somalis as permanent refugees.  Tens of thousands of permanent Somali refugees are in Minnesota alone.

CAIR MN director One of those stumping for the continuation of TPS for Somalis is Jaylani Hussein, executive director of CAIR MN

And, you should know that in order for those here on TPS, the temporary refugees were supposed to have been in the country (usually they were here illegally) before TPS was designated for their country.   It is not an on-going opportunity for certain immigrants to get in and then say—gee I want to apply for TPS.

NPR does Swedish “backlash” against Muslim migrants story

Another prescient post from Ann Corcoran, Malmo is a true no go zone today, even Swedish police avoid it, and Italy routinely turns away boatloads of migrants. The hapless Spaniards are forced to accept them by their still actively virtue signaling officials.

Refugee Resettlement Watch

More in our ‘Invasion of Europe’ series….

“Don’t touch my mosque!” (Stockholm)

“The Muslims want to change us!”

Finally the news is creeping into American mainstream media—Sweden is in turmoil because it has virtually opened its borders wide to any Muslim migrant who could get to that wonderful world—the generous socialist welfare state of Sweden!

From National Public Radio:

In the 1990s, the face of immigration to Sweden was someone like Robert Acker. His family emigrated from Bosnia when he was 6 years old.

“I got along with the Swedes early on,” he says in American-accented English from his years playing basketball in Kentucky and New York. “But now, I believe it’s a totally different thing.”

Acker lives in the southern Swedish city of Malmo, an industrial center that has become the power base for the far-right Sweden Democrats.

“They want us out,” says Acker. “They just want Swedes…

Refugee Resettlement Watch is eleven years old today!

Refugee Resettlement Watch

Am I nuts or what!

RRW 11 years old

Eleven years ago RRW was launched because refugees were being quietly placed in the county seat, Hagerstown, of my rural western Maryland county and I (and others) wanted some answers about who was doing this and why.

Our local newspaper, theHerald Mail, refused to investigate and write an article that would explain what I eventually learned, on my own, was that the US Refugee Admissions Programwas responsible.

I didn’t start out with strong opposition, in fact, one of my initial concerns was that some of the refugees placed here seemed to have been abandoned in some pretty lousy neighborhoods.

But….

Why the hush-hush about the program? (The secrecy part was what really hooked me!)

So, I figured I would have to learn about it myself and let people know what I found. How much time could that take?  Little did I know…

Judicial Watch sues Department of State for failure to respond to FOIA request on Obama secret selection of new resettlement sites

Pittsfield is now #9 in state crime rates, the sleepy town I grew up in has been ruined by forced resettlement

Refugee Resettlement Watch

Long time readers will remember that for a couple of years we were on a hunt to reveal the forty plus new resettlement sites the US State Department was quietly targeting for placement of the huge flow of refugees they expected in the waning years of the Obama Administration (and planning ahead for the Hillary years to come!).

New site development guide Obama State Department’s guide for community organizers to teach them how to set up new resettlement sites in their unsuspecting communities. I only discovered it by chance.   https://refugeeresettlementwatch.wordpress.com/2017/12/03/arrogant-church-world-service-closes-doors-in-poughkeepsie/

We were able to identify some sites in various stages of planning just because local newspapers reported that their town was being chosen (or might be chosen), but there was never any official release of information from the DOS.

Thus, Judicial Watch went to work to try to uncover the list and the criteria being used to select new sites.

In December 2016 this…
